To design a landmark building which could be seen from the road and have a ‘civic’ presence but not look like a church. The design should be welcoming with lots of glass and with views from the building.
A glazed ‘welcoming’ entrance, pews replaced with light-weight and stackable chairs to provide a modern flexible multipurpose worship space.
A design which reflects Bridge Community Church Leeds' mission: a building which is open and accessible to the community. Architecture which is honest and contemporary.
A 400 seat Worship space with dedicated community centre spaces and café on the site of the original church building and council owned community centre.
